Description

FAOSTAT is FAO's (Food and Agricultural Organization) global statistical database. It provides free access to food and agriculture data for over 245 countries and territories. The database covers all FAO regional groupings from 1961 to the most recent year available. FAOSTAT's data are mostly at national level, and cover production (crops, livestock, forestry), inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, land use, employment), trade (crops, livestock, forestry), annual population, investment (machinery, expenditures, credit), food balances, food security indicators, producer and consumer price indices, emissions from agriculture and other land uses, and agri-environmental indicators.
