Description
MSCI ESG Ratings provides historical timeseries data on ESG metrics capturing ESG risks and opportunities of companies. MSCI researches and rates companies on a ‘AAA‘ to ‘CCC’ scale according to their exposure to industry specific ESG risks and their ability to manage those risks relative to peers.
The dataset covers over 6,000 companies worldwide at an annual frequency starting 2007. The subscription also includes access to ESG Direct (https://esgdirect.msci.com), a web-based platform featuring current ESG Ratings and Scores, ESG Company Profiles, Industry Reports, and Thematic Reports.
