BoardEx provides data on the educational background, prior employment, and connections of directors and executives running the companies. The data consists of individual profiles, networks, compensation, committee details and company information. The data available in BoardEx allows you to analyse the proportion of politically connected directors, using CEO-level controls such as age, gender, and experience, and evaluate executive compensation such as stock option holdings. BoardEx data covers more than 20,000 companies from 1999-present.
To access the data, you need to apply for access for WRDS.
